The Town of Lumsden is excited to announce their second solar project to further reduce their carbon footprint! A new bank of solar panels will provide green power to 5 locations, including the new wastewater treatment facility, two sewage lift stations, the recycle centre and a recreation centre. This project will be the largest of its kind in Saskatchewan at 657 kW and the first project in Saskatchewan to provide energy to its utilities in this way! When construction is complete, Lumsden will have the largest battery storage facility in western Canada!
This project would not be possible without funding assistance from the #LowCarbon Economy Fund (LCEF).
